Queen's University Belfast Staff Profile
I am a Lecturer in Veterinary Biosciences within the School of Biological Sciences and Institute for Global Food Security at Queen's University Belfast. 

My research focuses on the sustainable management of livestock parasites and diseases. I combine laboratory and field-based diagnostics with mathematical modelling to predict and tackle protozoan, arthropod, and helminth (worm) parasites. I also examine the complex interactions between parasites, their external environments—including intermediate hosts and vectors—and the development of drug resistance.

My academic journey began at Queen's University Belfast, where I completed my BSc (Hons) in Zoology, followed by a PhD and postdoctoral research positions in Veterinary Parasitology. In 2026, I joined the School of Biological Sciences and the Institute for Global Food Security as a Lecturer in Veterinary Bioscience, coinciding with the launch of QUB's new Veterinary Bioscience degree pathway.
